Student Affairs Deanship participates in the twenty second forum for Students’ Exchange Program for the Students of Arab Universities
Deanship of Student Affairs represented by Dean of Student Affairs to participate in the twenty second forum for the exchange of training offers for Arab university students on 9th May, 2016 in Egypt, Fayoum University, at a kind invitation of the Arab Council for Training Students of Arab Universities.
Deanship of Students Affairs Hosts the National Health Insurance NHI in the Undergraduate Open Day at the University
The Deanship of the Students organized in collaboration with the National Health Insurance in Khartoum State an Open Day for the students at the university. The Open Day was held within the framework of annual week of NHI, which came this year under the slogan of The Wellness for You. The representative of the Deanship of Students Affairs Ms. Samiha Moneim, head of the Social Welfare Department and a group from NHI attended the Open Day activities. Ms. Samiha in her speech stressed on the importance of enlightening the students and making them aware and informed on how to take advantage of the medical services offered to students. She thanked the NHI for their efforts to disseminate the health and medical awareness among the students. Moreover, she emphasized the pursuit of the university to introduce all students under the umbrella of health insurance by the year 2017. Ms. Faiza Ali Taha, representative of NHI praised, in her speech, the Deanship of Student Affairs and their good cooperation for the success of the Open Day and providing service for the university students especially health services and treatment. The Open Day included many cultural and awareness programs for the university students.

Arab Council-Arab Universities Students’ Exchange Program
Arab Council-Arab Universities Students’ Exchange Program The number of students who received training in some Arab universities under the Arab Universities Students’ Exchange Program amounted to 16 students. In addition to those who have been sent to Egypt University of Science & Technology and the South Valley University (SVU) in Gina in the Republic of Egypt, two (2) other students have received training at Nizwa University in the Sultanate of Oman, and other two (2) students at the University of Science and Technology in Yemen. Under the same program, one (1) Yemeni student received training at SUST for a period of three (3) weeks where he received training in Banking at Faysal Islamic and Omdurman National banks which allowed him the opportunity to get acquainted with all types of banking services. The above mentioned student has been awarded a certificate from the university on completion of his training course. It is worth mentioning that student ‘Umar Lutfi Mohammed as-Sarhi is the only one from the Department of Business Banking and Finance at the University of Science and Technology in Yemen who received training under this program. as-Sarhi thanked SUST’s Management for the precise and neat arrangements prepared for him and the warm reception and hospitality he received from it since his arrival to Sudan.
